About

Hi, my name is Yi Qwan! I'm currently a private tutor at a tuition centre in Singapore. Despite having received multiple awards and scholarships, I struggled to find a job in Singapore for a variety of reasons. However, throughout my job search, I continuously refined my strategy and took time to reflect on my strengths and interests.

Eventually, these efforts paid off—I received multiple enquiries, interviews, and job offers from teaching centres, consulting firms, finance companies, and even multinational corporations like Uniqlo. The roles I was offered ranged across teaching, quantitative analysis, management associate programs, marketing, sales, and more.

If you're going through a similar struggle, I'm here to help. After seeing many people around me face the same challenges—and knowing I’ve found a "magical potion" that works—I decided to start this blog in May 2025.

Whether you're an undergraduate, a fresh graduate, or someone looking for an internship or full-time job in Singapore, this blog and my coaching services are for you.

🧠 Blog

If you enjoy bite-sized, data-driven, and logical content, you're in the right place. I focus on quality over quantity, distilling the most useful insights and lessons from my year-long job search to share with you.

By setting a clear goal and tuning out the surrounding noise, you’ll be surprised how quickly things can change. For me, once I found the right strategy, I received an offer within 3 weeks—and I hope you’ll achieve results even faster.

🧑‍🏫 Coaching

I’ve been teaching for nearly six years, and as you can probably tell—I genuinely enjoy teaching. Over the years, I’ve gained a solid foundation in both classroom teaching and private tutoring.

In my full-time role as a teacher in Singapore, I work with students who benefit most from simple, clear explanations. At the same time, I believe that effective learning comes from two-way communication. I encourage you to actively engage with me during our sessions—ask questions, share your thoughts—so we can make real progress together.
